Mental Help in the Hague

For LUC students

You can always go talk to one of the Residential Assistants (RA’s). If you need more urgent help, you can contact the RA on call during the nights and the weekends by calling +31(0)6- 28287992.


LUC has two Student Life Counselors, who are both fully trained psychologists. 

Depending on your problems and circumstances, solutions and support may be offered, in the form of: advice, referral to a workshop or training course and/or referral to individual sessions with the SLC or an external psychologist.

  • You can always come by during their walk-in hours on floor 4 room 4.43. These are on Monday, Wednesday or Thursday from 13.00 to 14.00.

For LUC and Wijnhaven students

Leiden University has a student psychologist located in the Hague. 

During your first consultation with the student psychologist, you will be given the opportunity to talk about your situation and discuss the best course of action. Depending on your problems and circumstances, solutions and support may be offered, in the form of: advice, referral to a workshop or training course and/or referral to individual sessions with the SLC or an external psychologist.

 

You can make an appointment for a consultation in Leiden or The Hague by using the online appointment system.

Leiden University also offers an initiative called PopCorner which offers student support. In the Hague, Popcorner can be found in Wijnhaven.
